Sensors

Click on Switch store to select the location where you are installing sensors.

Once the correct store is selected, click the Install New Device button to begin.

Select the type of equipment you plan to install the sensor in.

Review instructions at the top of the screen.  This direction will provide a more in-depth description of the asset to ensure the correct one is selected.

Each asset type has multiple options for assets that could have multiple units in the store.  These are numbered 1,2,3,4 etc.  Make a selection and click continue.  Each # should only be used once then move to the next # in the sequence.

Installer will ask for access to the camera on your mobile device.  Click allow and scan the QR code on the sensor.  Click continue.

Optional Add a brief description of where the equipment is located to help someone find the equipment when it needs needs service.

Touch the front of the sensor to update configurations.  Press and hold firmly on the QR code on the front of the sensor for 1 second. This process may take multiple touches to advance to completion.  (The touch step is not needed with the probe sensor.)

Follow the remaining steps until you receive the green check indicating that the install was successful. Repeat the above steps to add more sensors.

You can edit the location or re-assign the sensor to a different piece of equipment by clicking the Actions button then selecting Rassign to New Equipment.  This will lead you back to the asset list to choose what asset to reassign to. 

You can remove remove a sensor if you installed it by mistake or if the equipment is being remove from the location. Click the Edit button to remove the sensor. (Removing the sensor from the DT Installer will not remove it from the project in DT Studio.)
